I'm on the verge of upgrading from SONAR 3 to X3.
My new PC is being built by a company in the UK who specialise in PC music.
 
As a registered SONAR user, I obviously want the upgrade option (£159) rather than buying new.
Also, I'll need to download rather than buy a boxed product.
 
My question is: what's the best way to arrange this, bearing in mind I'm the registered user, NOT the company who are doing the set-up and installation.
 
When I purchase the upgrade, what do I get at the end of my purchase?
Do I actually get files sent to my PC? If so, can I send this to the company doing the installation? (That a LOT of gigabytes...)
 
Or maybe I just buy a registration key - in which case I can send this to the company and they can download and install everything directy onto the PC they're building for me?

Download links for X3 are added to your store account along with the necessary registration keys. If upgrading to X3 Producer, Addictive Drums is a direct download/install from the vendor site. The instructions are added to your store account. I would contact the PC vendor to see how they handle installing the software.

It's simple to download and install. If you already have a Windows 7 or 8 computer, go ahead and get it then transfer it to the new computer when it's delivered.
Or buy it now and wait to download it when the computer arrives.
Or wait until you get the new box delivered.
