Bit late to the party as always but there's a freebie video on my youtube page that explains setting up ACT. It explains the important difference between ACT learn and MIDI learn.
 
The Generic surface controller is very similar and that is covered in depth (along with ACT) in my SWA complete X2 video. If you don't have that it is available from the CW store.

Awesome!! I'm glad you got it working. I knew it should be possible.

I am not sure about the 02R, but I use a yamaha 01x as a control surface using Mackie control. This gives me all of the transport controls plus faders etc. Could be worth a try.

I tried that!  Read somewhere on some forum about someone doing something similar.  Didn't do a thing with the 02R...
