Hi All,

Just tried to fade out the sound of a wav clip in a track by hovering the mouse over the end of an inserted wav clip - then when I see the +\ icon appear I click and drag towards the other side of the clip... I play the track back at just before the clip starts and the clip does seem to fade off as I would have thought...

Am I doing it right?

On my system I don't see a +/- icon, it's a double headed arrow above a small triangle

Also look at track envelopes which in my opinion, give you a bit more control over the shape of the fade envelope

yeah that's the one I see - there's a east west arrow and triangle just below it...  I can also change the curvature by right clicking but doesn't appear to do anything...

I'll check out track envelopes as you suggest.

Thanks

I also use track envelopes. I use the gain envelope for both fade ins and fade outs. Add your nodes, right click on line and select what curvature you want. Sometimes I have to move the node(s) left or right to get exactly what I want.

Good luck
