Hasn't happened to me yet but I don't use Spitfire or Cinebrass, perhaps that makes a difference. Can you give specific steps to reproduce or is it one of those voodoo "now that everyone's looking it does work" issues?
Its hard to reproduce really....
Lets say I record a violin part in Spitfire Solo via Kontakt 5, in the session the keyswitches respond and record fine, any automation I record is fine.....I close the session, reopen it and its all gone, so basically I lose any kind of human shaping in the part and get very harsh transitional strings.....The thing thats puzzling me is there is nothing in event viewer in Sonar...It seems that somehow Sonar and Kontakt refuse to play ball somehow in recalling key human touches via keyswitches, volume controls, modulation wheel etc etc...Let me stress, If I record automation in Sonar its fine (which doesnt actually help), it just seems that Kontakt and Sonar arent playing ball properly....
I did bring up a kind of issue like this with Guitar Rig 5 and freezing and unfreezing and losing presets.... with my problem seeking brain I am kinda of assuming that all these issues are related.
So in essence, Sonar is fine at recording its own in house automation, but when relating to NI Kontakt 5 and *some* instruments, it certainly does not. Now, as my DAW I expect it to, and NI, as my instrument handler I expect it to do the bloody same! Otherwise whats the point in composing with these tools?
Again, today, when sound designing I was trying to automate a volume on a track from a Kontakt instrument and no matter what every time I hit space to play it resets everything unless the automation is recorded on Sonar itself rather than the plug in.
Something is getting lost in translation it seems.
I am still trying to play catch up on the situation. Are the articulations showing up in Event Viewer when you record?

This is something I need to do, record a tester and then inspect EV before saving and restarting to see if something is getting AWOL.
The problem is, as I am sure one can agree, the last thing you wanna do is inspect EV having recorded something and get all BETA... Having said that I shall try this tomorrow with the same Kontakt Instruments and recreate the same vibe, check EV- reload and report back....
But, I strongly suspect EV is a bit if a red herring.
