  • [Fixed in X3d] Antares AVOX 4 64bit Plugins cause Sonar X3 to crash

I just upgraded my Antares AVOX plugins to AVOX 4 (now 64bit), and every last one of the VST3 64bit plugins cause Sonar X3b to crash when adding them as an effect to an existing audio track.   The 32bit versions seem to be fine.

I also have the 64bit VST3 Auto-Tune Live, and while it doesn't crash Sonar, it causes audio dropouts, even in one track projects with no other effects or synths loaded.

Is anyone else having issues with Antares plug-ins who can point me in the right direction?

Thanks very much!

I'm in the process of downloading them. I'll look out for any problems and let you know. Welcome to the SONAR forums by the way.

Thanks very much for the welcome! I've been a Sonar/cakewalk user for many years, but never posted until now. Did you happen to try the 64bit Antares plugins yet?

I've downloaded the Avox 4 trial but it has a corrupt file in it somewhere. Waiting on Antares technology support.

If your corrupt file problem was during installing, Antares got back with me today and said I needed to uninstall the old AVOX Evo, re-boot, and then it install.  That worked.  However I am also getting the SONAR (X3c) crashes every time I insert an AVOX 4 plugin.

Yep, confirmed here too. AVOX plugs crash X3c every time they're inserted in a project.

They didn't get back to me yet, so thanks for the info. Not sure whether I want to mess with my working Avox Evo for a trial Avox 4.

I am having the exact same issue when attempting to use the 64-bit version of Antares Mic Mod EFX with Sonar X3c... although the 32-bit version had no issues.

I ran into the same problem and was able to get it to work by using the VST 2 versions in Program Files\Common Files\VST2\.

This has been reported as being fixed in X3d.  You can read about it in the above thread announcing the arrival of x3d.
