Rimshot- Thanks ! I remember those comments from before. I made one song with bass in it and am looking into more of that. I am rolling off with a fairly stepp curve at around 60hz and pulling down some of my mix in the 200hz range since I have this nasty bump there in my studio. Without ARC 2 that nasty bump shows up. With ARC engaged it all goes away, so I figured that it was my room. Maybe I've gone too far the other way. Also the bouzouki doesn't have as much low end as a guitar. I just loaded a few new drum programs so maybe I'll see if I can make something sit in there. Suggestions are appreciated!
Andy- Thank you!!
Daryl- Thanks a bunch!
Wookie- Yeah that thought kinda sux...lol! Thanks!
Batsbrew- Yes I agree there are some repeating motifs but no more than most other songs that have V/C. And I use different motifs..If I change it too much it drifts away from the theme imo. I hear what you're saying about adding a vox though. This might make it far more engaging. I hear you on adding bass and beats or both "bottom end" . This is basically mixed like folk music with a much different approach than rock or pop. I am looking into ways to add bottom without being too overt. Suggs always welcome :) Thanks for your comments.
Vilvilo- Thank you! I have never heard of the place you mention but it sounds like a very cool place. I am amazed to find such a celtic influence in France. Maybe one day I can make the trip there! Thanks for taking the time to listen! I appreciate the comments!
Rimshot- I'm unfortunately on a short break at work, but I plan to come back by to listen. I really appreciate the link. I will see what it is.
John- Thanks!
Beagle- Thanks for the vote on bass. I see I have some work to do.
Mark- I always appreciate it when someone comes by to listen to something they might not be very keen to. It shows a lot of effort on your part and I think that it's folks like you and the others that make this such a nice place to visit!
