Go to the last page. Pearl's Mimic Pro might be the hold up. Check out the video that talks about room mics- SSD5 is the sound behind the module. Sounds reeeeeealy good, whatever year it might come out.

I like the sound of SSD4 but it never finds its way into anything I do, I don't know why other than the horrid interface (maybe 5 will address that) and lazyness, I tend to use my Superior Drummer track templates that are set up just the way I like them more often than not.

I will have to fire it up and see if it inspires something.

Yup, I went and had a look at the NAMM Pearl Mimic Pro thingy "powered by Slate".  I'm sure that's the rub-a-dub-dub.

Slate posted this and a few other screen shots on Gearslutz during the summer, right around the time that he claimed the release was imminent.  If the sounds are better - and the workflow improved - that's fine, but considering what's already in the market, this isn't much of a UX improvement.  It's not expensive to put a developer on a competitive intelligence mission to find out what current design and workflow look like.  I think SD2 still presents better organization of features and important tools than this (and the other sample pics Steven posted)...and its been out for ages.  AD2 is in a whole different league in terms of ease of use...I just wish I could load BFD3 samples in there!  Disclaimer: just based this old pictures, so no idea what will eventually be released.

Maybe FG-X Ver 2 development is holding it up?

I'm bi-drumpler. I've used them all (Slate, Sup, EZ, BF, Accent, NI and some one offs) except JamStix. I still cannot wrap my head around that one.
