Is there a way in the midi editor (piano roll view of multiple midi tracks) to select a group of notes and change them to a different midi track (and instrument) while staying on the PRV? I can cut and paste across tracks in the track view. But it would be helpful to be able to stay on the piano roll view and move midi between different tracks/instruments. Thanks

Yes. If you show the tracks pane in the PRV, selecting a track there will change focus to that track and cut/copied notes will paste to that track. You just need to make sure you have your Now time at the beginning of the selection so notes paste to the correct time.
