Has anyone switched to the $14.99 plan and had any problems opening projects that contained instances of LX480? I can't open anything that has it loaded. It just freezes with the spinning blue donut.

OMG, thanks for the heads up. I was about to switch over thinking things would just open up and I'd replace LX480 with Verbsuite until Relab's sale (at which time I'd buy the LX480).
 

No problem, Ed. I was able to circumvent the issue using Safe Mode. That was the first time I ever had to use that. Nice feature.

I was just thinking that while posting in another thread. Good to know.

I ended up doing the $149.99 deal for a year and took the Verbsuite permanent license. 
 
That brings me down to three things Slate that I don't own.
 
1. The mic pre's (prolly will never buy them, they don't WOW me)
2. The FET compressors (seems like they may be 50% off and so I might grab them over the weekend, or not)
3. The Repeater ($68 IIRC at the discounters, but I have beaucoup delays, so it's not high priority)
 
So why did I do the deal? 
 
1. To be able to use the Distressor for a year before deciding to buy
2. Audition any other new plugs they come up with
3. I now own the Verbsuite even if I drop out next year (which is likely)
 
Bottom line is I say I got Verbsuite for $150 and free year of subscription and it's a decent replacement for the LX480.
