In my case the connection was fine. The install was failing to complete itself so that Melodyne could actually make the connection.
 
Their first suggestion was to "Run as administrator" which made no difference. Interestingly, I've never ever had to use that right-click feature for anything... ever.

I sent them a free 30 day copy of the list as well, Craig.  At least they could post it on their site or something if they want to.
 
How I'm going to make them give it back after 30 days is beyond me though.
