Hi, My name is Gregg and I am new to the recording forum. I have sonar x1 that I am trying to learn along with remolding my small drum room. The size of my drum room is 10'x9' so I was thinking of just using two overhead condenser mikes since it is a small room to record in.

Welcome to the forum.
Most will say to use as many mikes as you have when recording drums, and that your audio interface supports.
If you have the mikes and inputs available, use them
Also, this forum is for users of the SONAR Home Studio program, not the X series. Nothing wrong with posting here, we're happy to help, but if you have questions about something specific to X, it would be better posed in the X forum.
And the drum/mic question would get more and better responses in the Techniques forum.
