I recently upgrade my pc to win 8.1 and installed my x1 producer. After downloading and installing the new driver for my vs-700 i realized master fader would not jump to its place which normally is 0 db and keep staying in minimum vol but the x1 shows it on 0db and i can hear the project and no problem. I think it must be a bug and new driver still needs time to resolve. Is there any body have the same problem or any hint to fix it?

Running X3c on Windows 8.1
The same Problem here.
The master fader on VS-700 moves bus 1 in the Software (!!).
The master fader (on the console) is permanent linked to bus 1 on the console (!!).
This must be a bug.

I just remove console from control surface and add it again and close the program and run. seems working. I restarted my computer several times and no problem. I hope it is permanent and won't break again. try this and let me know if the problem solved.

Not in my case.
I had plugged the device multiple times in and out.
I have a closer look in a few weeks for this problem.
Currently I only have smaller digitizing projects for my customers without a bus and master.
When I insert a bus and master at the moment, the VS-700 (master) does not jump to 0.

So you are running X3D.
You have reset and rescanned your plugsin yet?
Are you on the 2.0.2 drivers? http://www.roland.com/support/article/index.cfm?q=downloads&p=VS-700SET

sorry , what do u mean by reset the plugins? X3d automatically rescan each time i run it. 
yes , i do have 2.0.2 driver. it some times is working some times not. like if i close the sonar several times and reopen it , it might work. I can say it is working randomly.

I did exactly what ever you suggested. Still have same issue and as i said before, it some times working and some times not . When I move up and down the master fader on sonar, the master fader on vs700 won't move, but when I move the master fader on vs700, master fader on sonar moves too. It seems just working in one direction. I removed the vs700 from control surface and installed it again. Also I uninstall the console driver and reinstall it again(v2.2) but still on the same issue.
I thinks it must be a bug in driver which is not compatible with win 8.1. Or maybe something else .

Is there anybody else have same problem? I scare end up to reinstall windows and all my vsts .
