Hi, anyone else having this problem lately? I recently installed Sonar 8.5.3 32bit on a new p.c. running Windows 7 64bit but I'm finding it impossible to install my Tranzport and AlphaTrack even though I'm following all the recommendations online. As well as this, when I tried to do a complete uninstall so that I could start over, Windows would not allow me to delete the Hotkey at the end of the uninstall process. Strangely, the Tranzport is 'playing' some keys on a midi piano when it is set in the Options/Instruments/Output channel so there is some form of communication happening. I hope someone here can help me out as these two controllers are integral to my workflow.

I have a Tranzport and recently (within the last two weeks) installed the drivers on my new PC.  I used the latest driver from the Tranzport site, installed the driver first then connected the wireless dongle for the Tranzport and it worked without problems.  (If you connect the Tranzport wireless dongle first, the install can fail or not work correctly).

I use Revo Uninstaller (the free version will work with 32 bit programs) as it will uninstall the program (with the program's uninstaller) but then searches the registry and folders for left overs and allows you to remove them.   Also, if you uninstall, restart the PC before reinstalling as many times not everything gets removed until the PC is restarted and just uninstalling/reinstalling without the restart the problem can still be there.

I have a mostly working Tranzport with Win 7 x64.  The record enable button doesn't work with SONAR X1 but I think that's the only issue.  I'm running the 64 bit version of SONAR but I ran the 32 bit version as well in the past.

Running the Tranzport here in x64 Win7. No issues. X1 though.

Thanks all for your replies. firebird, I tried Revo uninstaller but it can't 'see' Tranzport or Alphatrack in programs. When I tried yet again to uninstall manually, I get; 'you'll need to provide administrator permission to delete this file' once I try to delete Applet in the System 32 folder. This was not a problem previously but I fear I may have backed things up by repeatedly trying to install without having done a complete uninstall.

If you haven't installed anything else after the Tranzport, you can use System Restore and restore the PC back to a date PRIOR to first attempting to install it.  That should give you a clean start.

Both the Tranzport and the Tranzport Sonar plug in show up in my Revo Uninstaller.  But, I have the Pro version.  You can download a trial version of Revo Uninstaller Pro and try that.  Then again, if its not showing up that may be the problem.

Hey all, managed to get them both working a few weeks ago but didn't get a chance to post until now. I did a complete uninstallation as advised by fireberd and then installed each unit very carefully and they've been working great since! Thanks for all your help!
