This song pushed a lot of my buttons, a lovely David Gilmore/Pink Floyd vibe to my ears. I loved the sound of the vocal in the left channel that popped in now and again. I can't be more specific because I couldn't really understand what was being said, more a like a cry than a phrase I think, but it sounded fantastic. The melody of the song is haunting and lovely and the changes are interesting and really move the song forward. And I was so happy to hear a guitar bust in when it did. Really nice songwriting and arranging in this piece.

Some subjective comments: I'd love to hear more of the drum and bass working together with a lot more girth and depth, particularly in the break, but I think that's just the rock n' roller in me talking, your laid back drum machine-like treatment sounds a lot like what I hear in more recent pop songs. Still, having the rhythm section unleash at least a little bit at the ultimate moment of the song would add some great dynamic interest.

As to the mix, I agree with pretty much everything that's been said so far about the vocals and bass and I'd throw in the drums as well. Also, I really wanted to hear that tasty guitar jump out and rip a new one, you know, make a stronger statement. The licks are great, I'd just like to hear them much more clearly. This is great work, I wish I could write stuff this interesting and compelling.

Okay, thanks for all the feedback.  I've updated the song under the original link.

Come to think of it, this track was probably the first i had done using MVocoder so i think i erred by over-using the shiny new toy.  I've backed it off in several sections, boosted the bass and made some other tweaks.

Thanks again for listening!

Interesting. You put out some really good music - this is no exception. I listened to the entire song - kept my interest.
