MANMADEMADMAN = ELECTRONIC ROCK FOR THE PEOPLE "The Worlds Finest Handmade Electronic Rock"
is the tag at the top of the page.
http://www.manmademadman.com Hello fello Cakewalk Sonar-ians. Shane here. I wanted to share this labor of love with all of you. Without Sonar, this record would not be as it is. Its been a hard year for me, but instead of taking it in, I did what I do best: turn it instead into music. Now I intend to share it with you.
If you are searching for something electronic, fresh, new, and at the same time completely out of bounds, then Manmademadman- blasting straight out of electronic music's new hotbed Denver- should be filling your thirsty ears and playlists.
Now on his third independent record, MM:MM brings you WARPAINT. A tale of loss of love, despair, and resurrection, WARPAINT feels like the long lost follow up to the records of yore, in the style of Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, IAMX, and AWOLnation if they were smashed in a room and forced to make music at gunpoint.
From the home base:
"If great tribulation leads to even greater art, then this record should be the strongest yet from MANMADEMADMAN, now on his third independently produced album. Rather than being as impersonal as possible (NVIIISIIIBL?), this one is intensely personal, each song a graphic step forward, the yielded output of the painful climb. From music production to lyrical content to engineering, this album was crafted to overcome self-imposed limits. But if it never reaches another person’s ears, it was still worth in the end. If you listen closely, you can almost feel what’s underneath the noise; there’s a calming there somewhere. Modular synthesizers are throttled and clearly pulsing everywhere. The sound doesn't go down gently, its engineered to be in your face. Its not nice. "
Yes, you can buy WARPAINT digitally everywhere (iTunes, GooglePlay, bandcamp) but I've allowed free downloads on my soundcloud page, specifically to see how people respond.
