Registered X3 upgrade - £39.99
X3 studio upgrade - £64.99 (with Xmas voucher)
X4 producer upgrade - £119.99 (with 50% off), and a second melodyne key you can sell.
Melodyne Editor (optional) - £125.

= £350 minus however much the second melodyne key sells for.

I am super happy. Now to spend however long it takes to learn the way of the music production wizard.

Also ...Tutorial videos - £27.50
Scotts upcoming X3 text book - £30-40?
Advice on forums - £0

vs

Music Tech HND ... £8000+. Erm yea, abandoning my plans of wanting to do one of those entirely.

I also added Addictive keys studio collection which also came with some free vocal editing software today. Normal price for that was €119, and the free software originally costs $129.

I found it on ebay for £60 :D

It sounds vastly better than amber truepiano or SI electric piano, and turned my feeble DGX 630 into sounding 10x better.

Ok, I need nothing else now, I swear!

I said that about 1300 VSTs ago.

Oh cool, I'm young now :p

Right, I forgot that the freebie strum guitar isn't good enough and either needs upgrading or I need an entirely different guitar synth.

bapu hit the nail on the head... I doubled my plug-in count since getting X3 (thank goodness most of them were free).

Vab, here is a nice post dubdisciple started a few weeks ago on Free 64-bit VSTs folks actually use. There are some nice gems in that thread worth perusing if so inclined.
