I have a 12 measure region in a take lane I am using withthe Melodyne editor. I am not getting playback\sounds of the blobs when touching or moving them. The corrected blobs play correct when hitting play, but I hear nothing when trying to edit them.

Thoughts?

Do you have another instance open in the dock? Do you have the correct tool selected?

No other instance open that I know of. No option to open editor after bouncing this to clip. So it looks like single editor session only.

I do have the pitch tool active. 2nd from the left with the blob and up and down lines as a cursor.

I just closed SONAR and reopened the project. I am able to get to the editor and still no sound in the editor. The lane audio plays back as expected.

The track has 29 take lanes. This take is the top most take. No audio in the editor while touching or moving blobs.

Don't know if this matters or not, but SONAR is at 2.5G in the task manager. I used to only see 1.5G, but this is a bit larger.

I cut the project down to a manageable size and bounced to clips all the audio. I see the meter in the editor increase when I touch the blobs but no audio is produced.

I don't know if this is documented or not, but if my track is record enabled, Melodyne will not play audio in the editor. Turning off the RECORD option for the track got my audio back in the editor.

Can someone point me to a documented usage restriction on that???

NE1 know if 'the record enabled must not be on when using Melodyne' restriction is documented or not?

Confirmed as a bug by support. Waiting on bug number

TS got the ticket created with an incorrect issue. I called them back after the ticket was closed 'As Intended'. The ticket was written up to state that the track audio meter would not show when record was enabled.

That was not the issue. The issue is that when a track is record enabled, Melodyne will not produce audio when touching or moving blobs.

I called back and talked to another TS rep. I made sure that the issue was understood and they are researching it with another ticket.

It runs out that if you want to hear the blobs move while record enable is active, you need to use IM. I never use IM in audio tracking. I don't think I should have to either. I have outboard gear to do my monitoring and level setting.
I explained that to TS.

I left him with this - If it is supposed to work that way with IM active when a track is armed for record, then it should be documented or fixed to work like I thought it would. From my POV as a user, I don't believe I need to have IM active to use Melodyne, nor is it documented that way.

I was nice about it too and thanked him for his time.  ;)
