Hi Bob... I wondered where this was going for a few seconds at the start there haha!

But then the tune starts proper and Bob is back! Guitar a-blazing

That bleepy synth bass works okay for me Bob, coming in and out as it does.

Nice shredding as per

Great chorus hook Bob - I'm going to have it going round my head all day. Nice one

This song rocks Bob and everything translated really well on my H-phones. Mix/playing/production is excellent........I'm bobbing my head to the beat.........(wishing I had long hair).

Wookiee
Apart from the skwonky (Wookiee word) bass this has Bob stamped all over it, this mix appears to translate well here Bob.

Rockin tune brother. The electro bass was a fine addition. Great performances and production. Real cool ending.

Hi, Andy,

LOL, Yes, Sir it’s a little strange for a song of mine to start out with a synth, isn’t it?  It’s really weird, but my only process with all this stuff is to just try to recreate what I’m already hearing in my head and make the best of it.

Your latest post for “Ice Caverns of Europa” was really cool, great stuff!

Thanks a bunch, Andy, greatly appreciate you giving this a listen and your input and kind words!

Rock on, brother!

Hey, Mesh,

How are you, my friend?  Hope you’re doing great!

Thanks so much for checking this out for me and for your good input and words of encouragement!

LOL, Yep, I know what you mean, buddy, over the years I cut my once longer than shoulder length hair shorter and shorter in 4 stages, and sometimes I miss being able to “Wayne’s World” it like in the good old days!

Thanks again, Mesh, I’m grateful for your input, observations, friendship and support!

Cool song Bob. Drums maybe need a bit more volume, but that's a nit on an otherwise really good song and mix.

Skwonky bass was an interesting quirk for you. And it works too!

Hey, Wook,

LOL, “sqwonky”, that’s actually a perfect description of that synth sound!  I’m glad to be learning some wookiee-speak language.  Maybe I won’t need subtitles when the new Star Wars movie comes out!

Thanks for lending your furry ears and I appreciate your good input and kind words!

Have a good one, Wook!

Hey, Ed,

Thanks a lot, buddy, I really appreciate you weighing in on this one for me and also your very kind words!

I’m also kind of glad you mentioned the volume level of the drums, because getting back to this stuff after my long time off, I thought my drums (and bass guitar) sounded like they had too much bottom end and were way too loud on my older stuff, so I sculpted out tons of low end from my drum bus and lowered the levels quite a bit.  But, on my last couple of posts here I’ve been on the fence about the drum volume, tweaking the levels up and down by a tiny half a dB at a time trying to hit the sweet spot.  Sometimes they sound fine, but other times they seem slightly buried to me, so I guess I’ve got to keep experimenting in small increments.

By the way, your recent collab with Daryl and Grant was really fantastic, and a heartfelt fitting tribute to Jan who was really a great guy!  Nice work!

Thanks again for stopping by and for your input and support, Ed, always appreciated!
Bob
