Hey everybody...long time, no hear!  Jinga8 here...  Just started living life again.  These two songs are just pop, but I have never started with lyrics before music.  These are my first two tries.  They're in Spanish, but I'm interested in any criticism you may have about the music/songwriting.   Thanks and keep on'  Cakewalkin'!!!

I'm not 100% sure on the mix though, to be honest. The vocals sound fine, and the guitar and piano also sound fine. But I think that some of the bass and drums are a bit lost at times. I wish I could help but my mixing skills are not the best... I'm not so bad with the stuff that I do, but pop/rock music has me stumped at the best of times.

I really like both songs (can't comment on the lyrics, sorry). 
Mix-wise, the drums are getting lost which loses the overall punch

I also like both of these songs as they're very musical and very catchy tunes. I also agree about the drums getting lost in the mix though and it seems to lose out on clarity. On the first song, the vocals came across slightly loud (to my ears) and possibly could be lowered 1-2 dB.......(please take all of this with a grain of salt as this is only how it translated on my H-phones).  
 
On Mi Unico Plan, I could see the strings/trumpet/horns working out really well if it's used as an intro to the song and possibly have an alternate slower piano melody for the break (of course, all of this is just my personal opinion and it certainly  doesn't take anything away from this very nice tune). Good stuff you have going here Greg and IMO, just some minor tweaking/EQ'ing should fix it. :)

Nice tunes! Great pop songs, I wish I spoke Spanish. :) I agree with what's been said, and in addition, in the first song, the acoustic guitars sound a little dull, they don't have the sparkle that would make them pop. Perhaps some more highs and a bit more spread in the stereo image will help there, particularly where they are soloed. Also, the bass's tone lacks something, a low end that pop tunes just love. If these are the sounds you're going for, forget my comments!
