I tried opening X1 Expanded today and I got the registration pop up. I've tried both reg codes (X1 and X1 Expanded) but neither will work. The serial number showing in the pop up is for X1 but I know I have Expanded installed. Anyone got any ideas?

I've been running X3 as admin since the install and that's the first thing I checked. I was hoping one of you good fellas might have encountered a similar problem and would have a quick fix. I guess I'll have to contact support. Cheers for the reply Dr. Strangelove...............errrr CakeAlexS

Do you understand the difference between using a Windows login with admin privileges and right clicking on the Program icon or file and selecting Run as an Administrator.
You need to do the latter. Just thought I'd ask as some don't understand and we end up working at cross purposes trying to sort it out.

Yup, I totally understand the difference. X3 is set up to always run as admin so as I said, that was the first thing I checked with X1. It wasn't set at first, but is now and it still asks for rego. I've contacted support and waiting their response.

So, after waiting for a few days for a response from support, and still waiting, I decided to fix this myself by uninstalling (properly, by also deleting X1 & X3 folders and registry keys) and reinstalling both X1 and X3. This fixed the problem but I'd sure like to know what caused it in the first place!

Anyhoo, just thought I'd post this in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Cheers
