Probably, upgrades are actually a full version of the product with special "upgrade" pricing.

When I upgraded I got an error when it tried to install melodyne - said something like the current version of melodyne is later than the one attempting to install - uninstall melodyne and continue.  When you continue and then later apply x3d producer patch then startup Sonar Producer and try out melodyne essential it all works...

So as far as I can see melodyne will work with the existing serial number from X3 studio version...

yeah, you can skip the Melodyne install when upgrading/updating a version of SONAR which already has a current Melodyne installation.

If you decide to upgrade to TH2 Full version (offer to good to refuse - Which I have done :) ) you'll need user account to complete registration - use your login from when you registered VKFX Delay - ProChannel Module with overloud.com , I forgot I had done this and got confusing when kept saying account already exists...

Also is there really much difference between the producer and full versions of TH2 overloud?

I could maybe buy it after selling the second melodyne essential key.

And can I upgrade studio to producer without downloading all of producer?

(I feel like i'm in sales & marketing for CW)

If you use sonar as guitarist - giddyup deal!!

TH2 SONAR users who upgrade to the Full Version of TH2 will get an additional 20 amp models, 20 cabinets, 15 microphones, plus 70 stomp boxes, pedals and rack effects.

But I'm a guitar noob and have no idea what any of that means and does :(

But I'm sure its much better than the guitar sounds on my piano.

I don't play the guitar, I assume that all that stuff is available as a midi synth instrument that I can control with my piano?

The full version of TH2 does come with more stuff, there is also an upgrade deal to Melodyne Editor from Celemony. It would be tough call but I would probably pop for the Melodyne Editor upgrade over the full version of TH2, if I had to choose.

I already took the melodyne editor upgrade with X3 Studio.

So now I just need to figure out if full TH2 is any use for a pianist, and if the extra features are usable through a midi synth?

I have several guitar compositions that I'm recording using the piano, so I probably don't need it just for that.

I would imagine the VKFX might be more useful to a keyboard player.
