I've been searching for the solution to this problem but to no avail so I have decided to reach out to the Cakewalk community for help.
 
I am currently mixing down a session and I am now splitting the instrumental and adding the individual WAV files. The WAV files sound perfect as they did in the DAW before exporting. The problem I am facing, though is when I add my main pads and my bass line it stutters in Sonar, some sounds actually sound normal.
 
The tempo of my session is at 78.00 BPM because that is the tempo I created the instrumental at. I noticed, though when I change the tempo of my main pads to a higher tempo, the stutters stop.. so maybe I have found a lead to my problem.
 
I could definitely use some input from some of the people here who have been using this DAW longer than myself, thanks for all the help!

I'm not totally clear on what your workflow is. Is this all audio that was recorded or rendered from MIDI at the original tempo of 78BPM in another project with nothing grooved/looped from another source/tempo?
 
What exactly does "splitting the instrumental and adding the individual WAV files" mean? And does "add my main pads" just mean importing more 78BPM .WAV files to a track in the new project?

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. My main pads are from my instrumental (an instrument). The wav files I am talking about are split from fl studio. When I transfer the wav files into sonar, they stutter.

This is hard to envision... so shooting in the dark here. Is it possible that you are sending both MIDI to your instrument as well as having the instrument playing itself (i.e. each pad is being played twice)?

I don't think so... My instruments are routed to a normal track.. each being individual tracks. Unfortunately I'm not at my computer so if its easier I can record a video tomorrow for you.

Are they just standard .WAV files, or are the loops that conform to host tempo? If both the SONAR and FL Studio projects are 78BPM, it shouldn't matter. But if they're the same tempo, then using loops shouldn't be necessary, either, and it might help if they're not. And if you need to be able to roll them out to different lengths, it might be better to do the loop conversion in SONAR.

In FL Studio there is an option in the WAV Exportation called Split Mixer tracks. It pretty much takes all the individual instruments assigned to a certain track in the mixer and exports it as its own WAV File conforming to the over-all tempo of the session, which in my case is 78 BPM. The WAV files are basically the instruments in one giant loop, I believe.
 
When I drag these individual WAV files into my Sonar session at 78 BPM, my pad instrument and bass line stutter all they way through, but they do not stutter if you play them out of Sonar. The WAV files are on a standard track.

I have never used FL Studio, but it sounds almost like there is marker data imbedded into the track that SONAR is reading. If you right click the header on the bass track and "Bouce to Clip(s)" does it still stutter?

If it's loop that's been stretched in some way, bouncing is likely to just set the stutter in stone.

I bounced all the clips and that didn't solve my problem, so I ended up going to the clip settings on the left and stretched the track instead of looping it in Sonar, after reading brundlefly's last reply. That ended up solving my problem completely. Once again, thanks for all the help as it helped tremendously!
 
For anyone else experiencing this issue, you will have to right click on your WAV files and click bounce to clips, then click on every individual WAV file and go to the clip settings and check "stretch", this solved it for me.
