by the way  i was just playing since your last post did not appear as you likely intended.  It's hard to tell whether your problem is Sonar, user, or computer.  i was trying to isolate some things.  Opening the sound in an editor program might help us to determine that the file recorded properly.  There are free programs like audacity and wavosaur you could obtain, but let's hold off on that.  At the risk of being redundant, could you walk us through the exact steps you used to record, including interface you are using?

SM57 straight into UA25 input 1/L. Track plays fine, sounds good, accepts insert effects.  Done it many times before, never had a flat line. I attached Print Screen but it does not go through

Dumb question - are you sure you are looking at the track you recorded it to (and didn't accidentally record it to a different track)?

yeah, meters and fader are working fine :-)

If your track plays back OK, then it may simply be an issue with your graphics or video card.  I think there may be some way to refresh your graphics, but I don't know it, off hand.  I'm sure someone here does and will pipe in.

Thanks, refreshing did not help. Other guitar tracks, done with TH2 look fine. Its just odd.

Googling Sonar and graphics, I discovered that X3D has resolved some issues related to redrawing graphics.  Perhaps you're due for an update to X3D.

I'd rather prefer them fixed bugs :-)

Well, they're not going to fix bugs in X2, especially after fixing them in X3 (if, indeed, they resolve your problem).
