Nice....     Mix comments already made sound about right to me, particularly backing off individual instrument compression so that the song can breathe more - it deserves it.    Cool melodies over great SD-ish chord changes, the piano is just right, and the sax parts really throw it over the top IMO.    You may not sound like Donald Fagen, but your voice works great on this!

Aw, just do some! Who knows, you might amaze yourself!

I might if I revisit the song. Right now I'm back to studying mixing.  I've got a few songs from the last year or two that I want to revisit and remix.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Great tune and you are defiantly in Steely Dan's neighborhood.

Are the horns synth or real? I get the feeling they are synth although they are very realistic.

I agree with the mix comments Walt Collins made he is on point I think.

You are very close on this and you have done a good job so far bringing the style into focus.

The only thing I would add is that a few nice sax licks in the vocal gaps between verses etc.

Big Steely Dan fan here. You've been true to the original inspiration for sure - sounds great and love the quirky lyrics. Excellent vocal delivery and musical performance.
From a mix/master point of view, there seems to be too much compression going on somewhere and I hear a pumping - the overall thing could do with more air. Just my 2 cents.
