In Sonar X3 the audio engine makes a loud pop whenever it autosaves. This doesn't happen during a manual save. Anyone else have this problem?

I also use auto-save but have never had this issue. Does it happen in every project?

Are you running X3D?
Are you running Gobbler?
Is your hard drive is defragged?

Thanks.

I think this may be what I am seeing too as well as pops and clicks during playback. I am gonna pay closer attention.

@Guitarmech111 - This may be a separate set of issues - If you were to start up a new thread with this, I would be happy to dive in to help you.  (I would help you here in this thread too, I just want to avoid an accidental hijack of this one, and if they turn out to be the same set of issues, we could post a link to the other thread, to keep them connected).

So, whichever way you want to go, I will look for either a new thread and/or a post here from you, and will try to help you.

@Trapezoid - I don't happen to use auto-save, and do not currently experience pops or crackles.  I WILL, however, turn it on a bit later this morning, and post back on what happens with auto-save on my system.

thanks Bob, I do have a thread for the pops and crackles in general.

That turned out to be a disaster, but recovered from it.

Yeah, no trouble with pops and crackles during normal editing and playback for me, just right before autosaves occur. It doesn't happen when I hit Ctrl-S. I'm not sure why they'd have different behaviors.
I'm running X3A, maybe I should update.

Absolutely. Please update to X3D, perform a VST reset. and afterwards, for fun please defrag your hard drive.

Are you running Gobbler?

Thanks..
