OK...I'll comment on this.  I like the overall song.

IMHO, you have a good song. You just need to iron out a few wrinkles.

Piano seems to be a bit loud in the mix. I'd back it down a few dB.

The prechorus is more like the start of the chorus than the chorus is. The PC ends in a note that is a progressive step up.... then on the chorus you step back and come in an a lower note...and by doing so, you take all the power out of the chorus.  At the very least, start the chorus with the SAME note that ends the PC. That keeps the energy momentum moving forward.

Rework that key change and guitar break. It was like a "What the....? Where did THAT come from" moment to me.  I played it back thinking my player had glitched on me or something. A key change can very well be an amazing moment in a song and it provides an incredible lift in energy when done right.... so don't necessarily scrap it but certainly, take the time to do it right.

During the hand claps.... lose the bass. If you want something in there, use percussion.... conga's, bongos, or just use the hand claps.... instead of a straight up hand clap on 2 & 4 perhaps give it some interest with a... 2 and, 4 pattern or something else similar.... make it interesting

Sounds like you have a few things to work on but you're headed in the right direction what another cool tune.

Gee....I kind of liked the Bass in the clap session.     I can't imagine why.  No Conga's or Bongo's, though....please.

Thanks for listening and commenting, Herb.

Kind of hard to give advice on a praise song (being an atheist ), but I do agree with Herb on the chorus. It's crying out to go into the Gmaj there, dropping to C sounds a little 'flat'.

The guitar solo is tasty, but does sound a bit incongruous - something that takes at least a start from the vocal melody might sit better?

Now the positives  - production and performances are all very good, mix comes across well. I might tame the highs on the snare a little, but that's about it.

Great job on the vocals Beagle me old mate. I agree, the piano is a tad too high in the mix

Great job on the vocals brother, I enjoyed all instrumentation. I thought the piano was a tad loud too.

I think the guitar is definitely the icing on the cake in this tune. I loved the harmonies but I thought the lead vocal was just a small bit too much up front but fits the music well. The mix was pretty good overall I thought. Even though I have done and continue to do P&W music it isn't really my main cuppa nowdays....Like any other  genre it seems people come with expectations into any given setting. I think this music more than comes alongside any other of this type and wouldn't let any of the faithful down in using it as a catalyst in a worship setting. It more than fits that norm IMHO. Of course the whole idea isn't that this music is really for anyone other than God....and this makes it unique in that way.....so I guess it's really up to what He thinks about it :)

Hi Reece and friends

This song sounds fine to me... Well played and produced.

After hearing something previous to this song, I had to turn up the volume a tad, so either this needs to be "squashed" a little (of course... the previous song may have been over "squashed" ).

cheers
