I'll just add to that. I agree it's a pleasure to work in it.

Last night I moved a song that I had last saved in X1 into X3 - and applied some new touches which became available from either X2 or X3. It was fun to move it into the new version and add the touches. Sounds absolutely great.

I have to chime in and say that I'm very pleased too.  I started with SONAR on 8.5 and it was very unstable, to the point of being unusable.  X3, on the other hand, has been rock solid for me...even more so than Cubase 7, and on par with Studio One 2.  To me, the interface is awesome...clean and modern, and just plain intuitive (for most things anyway).

Ditto here. I have yet to experience any problems with X3. Does everything I need it to.

im only kidding, I don't use Cubase either.
I user reaper,
im still kidding around.
I use sonar and I love it. many have not been as happy with the X series as they were pre-8.5.
myself I have had great results from the get go.. well actually, x1b or c.
after that I have been very happy and have had no show stoppers, just a couple minor annoyance's,
but nothing I have been too annoyed with to the point of complaining.

over all the x series and especially X3 here has been awesome.

glad others share the same sentiments.

I love X3, I especially liked the bit when Magneto moved the Golden Gate bridge over to Alcatraz and all the cars fell in the sea or something.

When I used pro tools I felt like a demented parrot trying to make sense of the words my owners were teaching to me.

I remember asking some of my 'music production wizard' friends for help, and they would just say 'just click on buttons and things randomly until something happens'.

This one time I stepped into a music production room for the first time alone, and the technician was on a 15 minute lunch break, and everything was turned off. The sheer hopelessnes ... I actually texted one of the wizard friends to ask how to turn the Mac on ... Because they didn't have power buttons on the front :x

Sonar X3 on the other hand, 100% idiot proof. Just watch a few videos, and now you know everything. Everything just works, its easy, I only hate that I didn't find it sooner. And I get to use it on my uber self built gaming PC.

As I learn more and more of shortcut/hotkey keystrokes to move around in the program, it has become very intuitive to me.

Then again, I've been tinkering with this stuff since before I was waiting on *this* upgrade (and hoping my 8088 could run it):

So considering that there is even a Windows version of Cakewalk now, that can also now record audio and use cool things like F/X plugins, yeah, the latest version is pretty darn cool. lol
