  • [SOLVED] VS-100 crashing Sonar X3...

I've started using the VS-100 ACT capabilities and now Sonar keeps crashing (white screen). I've upgraded the VS-100 firmware to 1.5 and the driver to Version 2.
 
When it works the VS-100 functions perfectly including control of all my plug-ins, although I think the Jury is still out on whether or not this ACT really saves any time.
 
Anyone seen this issue? I've tried Cakewalk support but they are on vacation.

PS: I've posted this on the V-Forum, but I think it's not well visited. (I rarely look there myself and did a search)

This is now a Roland issue I believe not a Cakewalk issue.

Please confirm you are using  2.0.1 (as you are using Windows 7) and not 2.0.2 (Windows 8).
Also please install X3D (your footer says X3B), then RESET and then rescan your plugins.

Alex thanks for the response.
CakeAlexSThis is now a Roland issue I believe not a Cakewalk issue.

I first checked the Cakewalk site and it was offering support for the VS-100 so I downloaded their latest (Ver. 2.0.0)Windows 7 64-Bit Edition. Wasn't sure if Roland/Cakewalk are still sorting out who supports what.
Per your post I went to the Roland site and lo and behold they are also supporting the VS-100! Lots of support!
I did download their driver (version 2.0.1) and will try it after breakfast.

Actually I'm running X3C and just updated my footer. Because I was having problems with the VS-100, and installing new firmware/driver, I didn't want to introduce another variable. I will eventually update to X3D.

Well Alex, you get to keep your job once again! (Free tech support person..)
I put in the 2.0.1 driver and tried Sonar on a song that was always crashing when the VS-100 Control Surface and enabled and it seems to be okay after using it for about an 1/2 hour.
