Anybody have this problem?
We have a new laptop with win8.1 on it. Only 1 win account so it is an admin account. I am installing my producer 8.53 and every thing goes fine except that when I go to register it(I have all my codes) the input box is greyed out and say's not an admin account and won't allow me to input the reg. code. Does anybody know why this is? Does win8.1 play nice with producer 8.53? Help...

I believe that you need to launch Sonar as administrator by
-right click the Sonar icon
-choose run as administrator
 
Then you will be able to enter the codes. Normally Sonar can be run without Admin privileges, but for registration, Sonar needs read/write access to the registry. Once it is properly installed, you should not need to run it as Admin as a general rule. There are some Soft-Synths like Pentagon that require you to run as Admin however.
