I have Sonar Producer, versions 8.x thru X3.  I am currently running Sonar X3 Producer Expanded on Windows 7 Ultimate, x64. After reorganizing  my VST folders, some of the older VST's (installed from previous versions of Sonar) are generating error messages when scanned by X3 on start up (something about not being able to load a .bmp); however, all the required .bmp files are in the correct resources childfolder unde the VST's parent folder.

One of the VST's generating this .bmp error message is Boost11.  However, if I add the Boost11 effect to a track the VST loads, and works fine.

I'd like to reinstall the affected VST's now that I have my VST folders properly structured, to see if re-installation will eliminate the error message I keep getting.

Just insert the disk and select custom install. Then select the plugins you want to install.
If you do not have the disk, then click on the install icon and select custom install and select the plugins you want to install.

Reinstall your earlier versions of SONAR using the Advanced installation.  From there you can check off the components (plug-ins, etc.) you want installed.  Just deselect Program files at the top of the list.

Kind regards,

At what point in the installation of 8.5 do you get to choose "Custom Installation"?  Or do you have to hit some magic key combination (Alt-rightclick) to access "Custom Install"?

I am afraid to go any further with a partial reinstall to get Lexicon Pantheon back without knowing EXACTLY (!) what I am doing.  Last thing I need right now is for my currently-stable system to start getting the hiccups, or worse.
