I went to go look for my rain and thunder patches in Dimension Pro. I think they were in a group called Hollywood FX.
This is no longer in my dropdown list after installing X3. Can anyone else confirm if they have this in their Dimension Pro?

Are the original libraries still on your system? Is this a new install of Dim Pro? If so you may want to run the program stand alone as Admin and press F5 after you open up the program file browser.

Those were part of the extra content included with SONAR 8 and 8.5. If you want them, you need to retrieve them from the additional content disk from the older version of SONAR.

What a coincidence.. I was just trying to trace back where I got those so I can reinstall them on a new setup.  I think they were part of some freebies I got when I first bought X1 (I never had any of the pre-X versions).  So far no luck.  I'm going to check my X1 disk, and I'll post if I find them.  They were very well done.

Between installations I had fragmented my own Dimension Pro folders by installing versions/sample libraries in different locations. I ended up finding all of my Dimension Pro->Mutlisample folders and assembling them all back together and putting that folder back where X3 was defaulting to (for me, was the C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Multisamples folder). I ended up having "piece parts" of Dimension Pro installed on other drives so they never showed up in the program list.

Edit: I have a "Hollywood Edge FX" folder, but never had 8.X, so picked it up someplace (no idea where though).

After reading the help for X2 and X3, it appears that the Hollywood Edge FX are bundled with Producer. Sorry for the misinformation. I have not installed DimPro from the X series having kept my original version current.

I just checked that article, and for me that registry entry is listed as "dp" not "Dimension Pro" just in case you try to edit that "Multisamples Folder" path

Mine is listed as "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\dp"

I have the disks for Sonar 8 and also for Sonar X2 and X3 and the extra content disk appears to have nothing more than the demo projects on them. Am I missing something here?
