Running SONAR Pro X3d.  When I add the module to PC all that shows is a toggle and a dial on a black background.  I reinstalled, but it did not show.  Is this an issue with X3d?

Not that I'm aware of was only just using it myself.

Please RESET then rescan your plugins.

Please create a new project with no template and try it. If the issue persists here please could you send us a screenshot.

Thanks.

Does it work though? Sounds like the background image isn't loading. There is a way to access and edit such elements but I forget exactly how (maybe in the right click menu or VIA the preferences menu... I believe FBB covers this in the X2 Effects tutorial). Basically the image is stored somewhere on your computer so you'd have to find it and reload it. Reinstalling the plug is probably easier though especially if the image is just plain missing from your hardrive.

When I reset the plugins and did a rescan, error messages appeared that said specific *.bmp files were missing.  I hit my forehead and realized that when I used a utitlity to eliminate duplicate files, the bmps must have been deleted.  I reinstalled X3a with just the FXs checked, and then the X3d patch just to be complete.  The CA-2A interface opend and looked just like it was supposed to.  Thanks for all you input!

Great news.

That's cool but I find that solution to be a little weird  considering the CA2A isn't part of the X3 package. Doing a custom install of the plugs shouldn't have worked unless perhaps... and perhaps I shouldn't say this... the CA2A is actually included with X3 but locked until you pay for the plug.

Interesting. Glad you got it working though and be careful of those "clean up" utilities. They can wreak havoc on otherwise functional systems. Cheers.

Oh I bet it was something weird going on with the picture cache. Regardless it is fixed...

Yeah, maybe the image was still there but by fiddling around it shook something loose and the image loaded (to be utterly technical about it... lol).

Just like an Etch-a-Sketch...
