My Guitars are named after the girls in Babymetal.

I named my first three electric guitars, but don't really remember the names of the first two any more and don't have the guitars (a Hondo and a Harmony). Third one was an Ibanez 2370 that I still have, I named it after Robert Heinleins "Glory Road" by turning that into "Gloria Road".

is there some bad luck to rename guitars? lol

Mine got their names from the moment of inception.

"Raspberry Twist" came about by my luthier wanting to match the PRS raspberry stain along with hiding Line 6 Variax guts inside a normal guitar.

The "Gaudy Paul" was appropriately named when he wanted to see just how over-the-top he could make the next one (this one is now owned by Space Cowboy from these forums - he says he has it mounted in a display case on a wall - lol!).

The third one is still being made (and was on hold for a few years while I got back on my feet financially and while my luthier moved to a seriously large fixer-upper).  He just began making new progress about a month ago (albeit slowly).  This one is called the "Red Rocker" and will be a hot red (duh) on a Korina (Black Limba) body so it should be nice and light!

Wow. I attended a instrument maker school many years ago. But didnt finnish, because i got so scared of loosing fingers. The teacher in the wood apartment had lost 2. And he said you have to decide, to be a musichian or make instruments. In the long run you cant do both. And they told us we were going to be out of jobs because it was so hard marked.

wise choice- very wise- my 1st job as a certified machinist was in a cabinet-making woodshop, at lunch time we all sat in a common area lunchroom and I got to see my fellow co-workers holding their sandwiches with the nubs of their fingers; in fact, one younger guy just came back to work that same day having been off for losing his first finger, sort of like joining the club....When 2 months less a day probationary period came around and I was told they werent going to keep me, I was actually quite happy and relieved to be spared their fate (company later went into bankruptcy, got bought out by a foreign competitor who pocketed the workers pension fund and closed up shop)

Yeah.
Im happy about it. I have full respect of those who make instruments tho. I think its really cool. And just the knowing that you cant make any money aut of violin making in years but they do it non the less, is cool.

You should take this advice Steve:

"Worrying, grumbling and complaining cause stress which is bad for your heart.  Instead deflect with humour and vaguely hidden immaturity."
