  • Some say music making is a hobby, but what are your hobbys? (p.8)

I want a pistol too. May want to get a license. And contact a shooting range.

I bet you were the prettiest in the building. I've seen to many teen movies.

My other hobbies are reading manuals and sussing out advanced features I'll never use

"advanced" = "obscure"

Much more fun, if you spend some time catching up on Luis Bunuel films. Still weird after 60 or 70 some years, and some of them even more fun and exciting. Try "Viridiana", and then "The Phantom of Liberty" ... and see how many paintings you can find in both films! One of them will crack you up down right to your shoes, and you have seen before! It can't even be considered "surrealism" ... it's a riot, and then some!

Other than music, the wife, kids, and my business, I am kinda into RC cars too.  Fun way to relieve stress.  Plus they are fast as sh*t  and look cool jumping 10 feet into the air souring over jumps.

Collecting VSTs seems to be one of mine right now. :)

I've gone through a lot of hobbys' over the years but work and raising kids are taking a lot out of me. I was weight lifting a lot but that got dropped last year and I'm working on getting that back. I do hunt (deer) and I sport shoot but not that often. I am an avid video-gamer and whiskey taster, but music really is my primary hobby.

Like many others I've had a lot of hobbies over the years. Some kind of ended in storage when the children came - amateur astronomy (still have a couple of telescopes) and chess for example . Some it feels like I always do and have always done like reading SciFi and science, there's always a few books ongoing. Some I've always only done when I really feel like it like writing stories and drawing/painting. Some I've picked up again like my teen crush photography (fantastic time for photography, almost as fantastic as the music side - going from a Canon AE1 (70's) to a Nikon D5200 a couple of years ago was hilarious).  Some are hobbies that I feel were or are more or less part of my work skills like electronics and computers including programming. My two main pressure valves to keep life balanced however are music making and running.

To a large extent I feel that my interests and hobbies feed off each other, and sometimes spin off to related interests. Like last spring when I went to a class in guitar building...

Too many things that are interesting, too little time.

I used to play a lot sports (cricket, basketball, soccer, tennis, racquetball etc...) and in most used to actively compete in them. After I had children, they became my pride & joy and gave up on competitive sports.

Music however, has always been my #1 passion and I don't think anything will replace that.

I also love playing board games......especially chess.

Beltrom, I see you like to play as well......I play at Chess.com (free site) on my phone and my nick is Meshodman......we could possibly play sometime (a quick 3 or 5 min game)?

You didn't read full quote ;).
"Some kind of ended in storage when the children came...".

Haven't played except for the occasional random encounter for 30 something years. So you won't have much of a challenge. But let me check out chess.com and come back to you.
