Hi All

Does anyone have any word on howlong our products will be available for download on our account page here at CAKEWALK ?

I'm going to want to download everything I've purchased  (a LOT) onto a separate drive so I can move to a new computer when/if I want.

Regards,

Hi

As far as I know, there's no specific deadline date for product downloads. I would suggest that you back-up your files at the earliest opportunity.

Keeping local copies of installers has always been a good idea.

If you have been using the Command Center, the installers used by it are cached on your hard drive. The default the location is "c:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads." The path may be set in the Command Center configuration paths tab. For the products they cover these are the same installers listed in your account.

Here's the easiest way to secure all things Sonar

Run Command Center and update everything you want to use. Some don't need the loops as example.

Back up the CC download folder ( see above for location ) to 3 different locations.

Go to your My Products Page and copy all your serial numbers using copy paste to a TXT file or take screen shots... Back this up to 3 places.

You may have a collection of older install files in your CCC folder and those are easily identified. Myself I will keep those as down the road we might find that an older install of SPLAT was the most bug free.

Cant believe your thinking about this now. I downloaded all my products 2 months ago when I first heard of the cease of development.

With the risk of sounding a bit harsh, no one here has a crystal ball. your guess is as good as ours.

I'm thinking if they were gonna' take it all offline, and punish everyone, it would have happened by now.
But please heed the advice here, download, backup what you can . . . then you will most likely be able to run Cakewalk products for many years into the future, at least that's what my crystal ball shows . . . but beware the Microsoft updates, hide if you can.
