Hi all

I've tried an hours' worth of trial, error and looking for answers in 'Help' and have come to accept that I do really need help!

I'm trying to change the levels of the snare in a track so that the snare hits all match. There are many clips and whilst there are only minor velocity differences between hits (I was aiming at a more human feel when I programmed the track) the sound difference is distractingly obvious when it's processed.

Please could someone direct me as to how to set the levels for the whole track without going through each hit individually?

Thanks in advance

Dave

scook
Click the key or name on the keyboard in the PRV to select all the hits for that note then change the velocity in the Event Inspector.

^^ what scook says.

One small caveat - if the very first note in your selected range is already at the desired velocity then it won't work, you'll have to select a different velocity to that of the first and then they'll all change.

Timeking
Use Select by Filter, and use that to select all of your instances of snare drum hits (they all turn darker).  Then use Process/Scale Velocities to set all of the snares to the same velocity.

Thanks all!

That's sorted it and filled in a bit of valuable missing knowledge to boot :-)
