I save a fx chain that works ok...
then I load the same fx chain on another track and all plugs work fine but the had plugs.

I am using x2 and had 6.4 had soft (the uad 64 plugs work fine otherwise)

Don't know if this is going to matter but UAD now puts out a warning message about UAD plugs being in the middle of a chain and not before or after non UAD plugs... you should check this out.

The warning is for excessive latency but who knows if it effects the FX chains?  Next time in the studio, I will try and check this out (if I remember).

Thanks,

Jim

Yes. I can replicate this.

Apparently it doesn't even matter in which position the UAD plug is in the FX chain.

Loading an FX chain with a UAD plug and the UAD plug is just bypassed !!
Dragging the UAD plug to a different position in the chain (and back) seems to fix it.

Annoying though..

Has this been fixed? I have the same issue. I have to move them or disable and then enable them in order to get them to start working. It makes the FX Chain unusable with UAD plugins!

People really need to list their Sonar versions so we can see who has what at a glance. I am running X3D 64 bit on Windows 7 64 bit. Updating your footers here (check mine) would be most efficient way to go. And you should have all reset and rescanned your plugins after installing X3D? This will at least put everybody on a base level and avoid confusion now and in the future...

Thanks.

nb I don't run UAD.

Cakewalk have been working with UAD on this problem. Just a few days ago 7.4 version of their plugins was released. I don't use fx chains so this isn't an issue for me. I didn't look what this latest update fixes so maybe it's worth checking what version you're on and updating.

Also make sure if you follow the advice to reset your plugins make sure to save any presets you have created as they will be deleted during the reset.

It is still occurring with X3d and UAD 7.4.0. I verified that too many times today.
