I was kind of curious as to why someone would want to sidechain a limiter. Also, since any compressor that can set a ration of 10:1 or more can be a limiter, that opens up a lot more yeses.

As an effect, apparently.

I'm not being critical.  Just curious.  I suppose it could create an extreme version of the all buttons mode from 1176

I just want to create weird noises, reverbs and what have you. Mainly though I want to flexibility to experiment, for instance if somebody says you shouldn't do that, then I'm on it :) From memory I don't think I've ever sidechained a limiter before...it's basically curiosity and intrigue to see what I can do here, sure there will be other ways of doing things... Of course it may not be suitable, in which case that will be put down to an "interesting experiment".... but if it's a stupid and pointless way to do something then I'm a total convert...  I just want to do it because I ... can, that's always been good for the creative process.... Anyways all good stuff on this thread... thanks..
