This is a remix of a song that's about 5 yrs old.   Some of the old-timers here may recall this.  Although I don't think it sounded like this.
 
I worked with the same tracks, just applying some of the "mad skills"  (emphasis on mad) I have developed over the time since. 
 
Mainly, the work was to delete a few tracks from the original, change envelope levels and work on getting the vocal up front and on top.

The reverb on the vocal seems a bit heavy, but other than that sounds good to me!
