I, personally, have given up on XLN. They just don't seem to care
about their product...
I actually have come to quite like Addictive Drums 2, and have always like Addictive Keys.
What is a constant frustration for me with Addictive Drums 2 though is that for some reason the developers didn't seem to think the ride cymbal is that important. They do not provide any way to isolate the ride for mixing purposes. Even with Addictive Drums 2 adding three Flex channels, the only kit piece unavailable to the Flex channel isolated mixing is the ride cymbal. You can mix the djembre to your heart's content, but not the ride.
I've put in requests for them to reconsider that.
Other than that complaint, I've started using Addictive Drums 2 much more from my selection of drums sounds. I do record with live drums from a Roland kit, so I'm not using pre-fab drum sequences like one might from EZDrummer, so I'm not comparing to the ease of that concept. But as far as capturing live performances and having some very nice sounds, Addictive Drums 2 is really working great now for me with the exception of this ride nuance that I would like to see improved.
