In case anyone else gets this, you have to use Remove to stop the pop-ups from Windows Defender. Disinfect and Clean System don't work.

TerraSin,  I've heard that before.  I use ESET NOD32.  It didn't flag this.  False positive I assume.

I, personally, have given up on XLN.  They just don't seem to care
about their product...

I actually have come to quite like Addictive Drums 2, and have always like Addictive Keys.

What is a constant frustration for me with Addictive Drums 2 though is that for some reason the developers didn't seem to think the ride cymbal is that important.  They do not provide any way to isolate the ride for mixing purposes.  Even with Addictive Drums 2 adding three Flex channels, the only kit piece unavailable to the Flex channel isolated mixing is the ride cymbal. You can mix the djembre to your heart's content, but not the ride.

I've put in requests for them to reconsider that.

Other than that complaint, I've started using Addictive Drums 2 much more from my selection of drums sounds. I do record with live drums from a Roland kit, so I'm not using pre-fab drum sequences like one might from EZDrummer, so I'm not comparing to the ease of that concept.  But as far as capturing live performances and having some very nice sounds, Addictive Drums 2 is really working great now for me with the exception of this ride nuance that I would like to see improved.

I like addictive drums quite a bit. You right that it's weird the ride and cymbals can't be mixed in isolation. I wonder if that would mean reworking all the graphical elements to fit more faders. Having the cymbals available in the Flexi section would be a decent workaround.

I have the feeling that the ride and other cymbals weren't mic'd separately by XLN when they sampled their kits, so there would be no way to pull them out of the OH and Room samples and isolate them. If true, it would explain why there's no code in place to support that for external kits that sample each cymbal directly. If so, it won't be a simple thing to add.

EDIT: I'm not sure this is even close to correct. I could be totally wrong. Too strange for me this early in the morning. My black tea hasn't kicked in over the morning wake-n-bake yet.

Mine went without a squawk from Win Def.

I think the only way is to isolate the cymbals in the overheads. so go through all the other pieces and remove the bleed into the overheads, leaving just the rides and crashes.

Just tried to run the XLN installer to update and got a whole new screen saying I needed to register my "new" computer.  I assume this has to do with my Win10 install.  Haven't run a project with AD since updating to Win10.  Does this mean I have to "re-authorize" everything from XLN??

EDIT:  Just opened SPLAT and tried to insert AD.  Yup...have to register this "new" DAW.  Sheesh.
