I am at my wit's end with this very expensive and highly touted software.  There are no instructions for those of us with orchestration backgrounds, who have had to teach ourselves DAW.  I am trying to find the answer to one question.  How in the hell does one rout multiple audio channels through this software and get to control them.  They have all of the controls there and their videos show them selecting different sources and moving them around in the GUI, but does not explain how to rout each channel to the software as a source.  It might be easy for some, but for those of us who are not into the engineering end, it is impossible. Since the product if for engineering idiots like me, why don't they explain it better???

I don't see what this has to do with X2? Have you tried using a 5.1 surround buss?

John,

sorry it took so long to get back to you.  I have tried Spat in both stereo and 5.1 mixes.  Obviously, there is some setting in Sonar that I must not understand.  Every other plug in I have works, very easily, but this one will only allow me input and not any output.
Also - the Cakewalk support people told me that Spat cannot be used as a multi-channel plugin like it can in protools. I can accept that, if only i can get SPAT to work in one channel, for one track.  Even that would make me excited beyond belief.

If you insert it on a track or bus will it allow you send a number of audio channels to it. I find using the console view makes 'seeing' the connections easier.
