Why when a search returns a zero hit, why do I have to wait...?

Well I'm on a very slow internet connection using the Cell phone G3 Network in a fringe area that barley holds on to the signal. Better than dial up, just. 
 
I just typed "headphones" into the search and it said " loading, and in 5 seconds I had results from all the forms here. 
I use Chrome. Might be your browser to blame, not the form software. Seems to work fine as after 5 ? years of not working in a modern browsers we seems to be in good shape these days.
