I can't install SONAR X3d. I have a downloaded version of studio x3. it is an upgrade from studio x2. Myself and a cakewalk technician and I tried to up install studio x3c - wasting both of our times. I think the problem is there are two Sonars out. The upgrade and the disk version. Has anyone had any luck with this problem? 

I don't recall a Sonar upgrade (meaning a paid release) ever that wasn't a full version.

Can you please detail the error?  Also, it will help us to help you if you add your system specifications to your forum profile 'footer'.  (You can use mine at the bottom of this post for an example).

Are you sure that you DLed the right version? You need to DL the studio version if that is what you have. 

At the download page there are 3 versions
X3
X3 Studio
X3 Producer

As john said you have to download the correct version and then select whether you want to install the 32 or 64 version once the installation starts.

What happens when you try to install the SONAR X3d update for SONAR X3 Studio?

The first of the download versions (8.5) required 8 to be already installed IIRC, but I believe that's no longer the case with X series.
