Just intalled X3 and have question about 3 addons...

-- How to register VKFX Delay & should it becom part of the prochannel?
It appears I have to log on to those vendors and vreate an account which I HATE to do. I do not need more junk mail from a vendor I have no need for other than this X3 use. But is this the procedure. Cake already assigned me a serial # for both.
 
Also I already own Melodyne Editor 2. When I was installing X3 it said I had a more current version and would need to uninstall it. I just moved on without uninstalling as who want to go backwords. But do I have an repercussions of doing that. and will I have and diffence in the way it loads in the bin for usabilit. or should I see no difference other than I own editor.

Cakewalk has no control over other manufacturers' registration procedures. Cakewalk partnered with XLN and Overloud to provide Addictive Drums and the VKFX Delay. If you want to use those products you will have to activate them using registration information provided by Cakewalk and the activation procedures developed by the manufacturers. Of course, there is no requirement to use the products which would avoid the issue entirely.
 
To use an existing Melodyne 2 installation, when prompted, cancel the Melodyne installer during the SONAR install process.

My pet peeve is that with Addictive drums for instance, they won't even supply me with the installation file (deleted once installed). If XLN went bust for instance, so does my software...

Addictive Drums uses an on-line installation process. There should be instructions on how to download Addictive Drums in your store account. It is a two step process, download the XLN installer. Run the XLN installer adding the product key (a.k.a. serial number from the CW store account). The XLN install will install Addictive Drums.
 
WRT VKFX registration, IIRC, when the plug-in is run, there is an option to register it.

.. and if their servers goes down... it won't install at all :)
