Noel, is there a way in X3 to set the melodyne/vv to open as an undocked window by default ?

Not today. It was designed so that Melodyne defaults to feeling like an integrated view. We should however remember the preference if the user undocks it and closes it...

OK thanks for responding. I use dual screens and prefer to keep one just for track view and have everything else open on the other as it feels less cluttered that way. I would be a nice option to have with melodyne one day for multiple screen users.

Vvocal still crashes the program for me, every time.  Tried re-installing from X2, etc., nothing worked.  Any help?

It's been working great for me since X3A.  Honestly, I avoided using it in prior versions because I never found it to be stable.  I have used it on two projects since X3 and have not had a single issue so far.

Clint, maybe if you walk us through step by step what leads to the crash someone could help.  Is it crashing on launch?

Create Region Effects--Vvocal--interface comes up for a second, crash.  That's it.

I'm sure you probably know all this, but Bitflipper's advice on using vvocal is great.

Clint. wow.  Hard to get a finger on what causes such an instant crash.  That is what I often got on older versions of Sonar. I would actually give tech support a call. They probably will ask you to send them an error log report to help trace possible system issues that could be causing that.

jb101- great repost.  It's interesting that melodyne offers similar tips in their instructional videos. bitflipper is a great resource.
