I've never really counted my plugs, but your post made me check the new scanner popup and it went to 619 plugs (3 new) when I launched X3d. 619? Really? I must have a lot of plugs I'm not using...

Really? Wow. I did a fresh install a few weeks ago on a clean machine, and only installed NI stuff with it, so my count might go up. But 619 sounds ... confusing :)

Before I cleared out my Waves plugins I had I think 1704...there are multiple versions of each Wave Plugin so that accounts for a lot of increase in plugins, as well as both the 32 and 64 bit versions of plugins.  So, while it seems like a lot, the "multiples" included in a single Waves Plugin can add 10 to the count for what is actually 1 plugin.

So I really only have like eleven plugs?

Waves really takes the cake (ha...ha...), when I upgraded from Ren to Diamond I went from like 100 tot 500 something. They split all their plugs into components for cpu saving purposes.
Q10 EQ has something like 6 versions with different numbers of bands, then 32 bit, 64 bit, VST2 and 3 and some of their plugs do mono/stereo and even surround as well.

Well if I could scan 32bit and 64bit Waves in 64bit X3 (something we SHOULD NEVER DO) I have godzillan plugs.
