And....

We still have these darn CAPTCHA's when logging on though (I can understand having this when registering just not logging on).

Also I hope they fix it whereby I don't have to wait forever in order to search again (please half the wait value time!).
Same with consecutive posts, generally I can beat that timeout as well.
Finally can we upload image attachments again? I know this software is capable of it.

Thanks...

Its broken in android 4.4. Chrome no good.

UPDATE...

If you browse to certain pages they do a "white out".... Click on the screen and the page comes back. Navigation is impossible....
Weird... no issue with previous version...

I've seen a definite increase in speed over the last couple of hours

It was painfully slow earlier today

Yes, an increase in speed and all is well in IE 11.

Big issues with Android 4.4 KitKat and chrome.

The footer doesn't display with android and chrome.
If I request to see the desktop site in chrome it doesn't doesn't revert to the non mobile version of the site (the host header is being forced or injected somehow).

Cheers...

Hi Everyone,

A few updates and responses.
 Sorry for a downer comment but wait till they turn on search indexing :;
Hopefully I'm wrong!

We still haven't actually fully restored this. We were told by the vendor that this update would address some of the performance problems we were experiencing. It hasn't, and we're holding off on the full-text indexing to minimize the issue. Hopefully we can get it back up and going by this afternoon.

And the forums is slowing down/grinding again... Must have turned indexing back on :)
I wish indexing was the issue, its not. The forum software does bad under load with it's own scheduled tasks. We've pushed those out to only check on them every 30 minutes now so you may notice a longer than normal delay in subscription/digest emails.

Can we upload image attachments again? I know this software is capable of it.

Once we resolve the performance issues we'll consider it, maybe on a temp basis so we can measure growth and predict storage needs. The software will only write files to local disk.

This isn't something we're going to spend time on to address in the very near future, sorry. The more we customize the forum software the longer it takes to apply updates as the vendor releases them, we'll spend time on customizing it once the software is more stable, reliable and predictable under load.

Sorry for any headaches, I know it can be brutal when it slows down (we saw a few traces yesterday that were showing 20 second plus load times etc). We are actively working to address it.

Thanks for the response.

1) You haven't customized anything in IIS like host headers.
2) Have you followed APG's recommendations in customizing IIS for other platforms such as android, I'm just wondering if host headers is the issue....

thanks for keeping us updated...
