Hi All,

I've just finished up a new fairly straight-ahead guitar based rock tune, with only a few time signature changes.   There was a bit of a Dregs influence in the main riffs, though a little influence is about as far as I can go with it.

I also gave the new MJUC compressor from Klanghelm a go around on this one, using mode II on the guitar bus, and mode III on the drums and master bus (prior to Ozone).  I really like it.   All of the other usual suspects apply: Craig's amp sims for all the guitars and bass, AD2 for drums, a bit of Vintage Organs, and PC plugins throughout (Tape Sim is great on Vintage Organs).  I also included a little live percussion in the form of Moroccan drums (similar to bongos) that I picked up in, of all places, Disney World about 10 years ago.

Wow Steve  ,  that was pretty intense ….
My favorite part of your tune was from around 2:00 where it changed up and went on to the very end ..
That section was brilliant

Hiya Steve,

A top tune this mate... I loved every second of it. I normally type something while I am listening, but this held my full attention all the way through!

Excellent stuff

cheers

Prog!!! Nice guitar tones. I always respect the prog rock players, how do you remember those changes? Are you a one man band on this? Good clean fun.

I thought the mix was very well balanced. Nice one!

cheers,

Kenny - thanks, just trying to keep it interesting.    That second section was an attempt at theme variation so I'm glad that worked out.

Andy - thanks!  Appreciate it. If I can hold someone's attention then I guess it's on the right track.

Tom - I didn't originally tend it to be prog-ish, but sometimes it's hard for me to avoid that direction!  And yes, it's just me going layer by layer.  Fortunately I developed the memory aspect when I was much younger 'cause that wouldn't happen today.

Wookie - thanks, glad the mix is working... it took some repeated balancing to get there.

Grant - thanks, I appreciate the comments.   Cool and interesting works for me!
