Hey Starise, thank you so much. Those words picked me up after a long day at work!
I love your songs and production skills BTW. Your comments are much appreciated.

Hi, Jimmy,

I'm late to the party here and missed the first version, but I think this new mix sounds fantastic!

Excellent songwriting, arranging and performances, great vocals and harmonies, and a crystal clear, fresh sounding mix.

Dynamite work, Jimmy!  Have a good one, buddy!

Jimmy, I really dig this.

If I could make one recommendation - I love the organ. I think there are times it could be featured more, especially in places that it won't clash with the vocals. Maybe manipulate the drawbars (not sure if that's possible with the plug you used), to give it a color change, or put it through a leslie sim and automate that? Or a wah pedal could be cool. Something to just make it pop now and then.

Great work!

This has a good feel all the way through. The mix comes across as very balanced! I'd agree, bringing the organ out front for a bit might be fun. Sounds like a very personal song and your message gets across. Nice job!

The chorus is a nice homage I think to a song that's not quite so church-y    :)   Makes for an interesting juxtaposition.

I also listened to your song "Let's Go" and I though that was terrific! Cool fretless bass on that one!

cheers,
-Tom

Thank you mesayre for your comments. This was a synth patch that does not have drawbars. Good ideas on changing it up a bit. My thought was of Procol Harem's "Whiter Shade of Pale" song which is one of my all time favorites. That organ part stayed very neutral throughout the song and it was it's notes and tone that made it happen for me. That was my goal for the organ part in my song.

I am so glad you liked it!

Rimshot,

Missed the first mix but this sounds really good.    Good old classic rock vibe and nicely written song.
