I use various custom themes create by fellow sonarites. I change them on each project just to try them out. Hasn't seemed to make my music any better but it is a nice to have feature.

The Console View is my main view during mixing and these little changes already improved my workflow because now I can see faster i.e. which plug-in is enabled, disabled or in focus/selected or which channel is muted, soloed, etc..

I really, really like what you did with the FX Racks. Any chance you could upload your theme for those of us who want to "reverse engineer" what you did?

I am using "Tungsten Yellow" from outland144k exclusively, but I'm also very interested in Caa2's
"8.5 Producer" variant when it is released.

I have several alternative themes downloaded from generous forumites, but Tungsten Yellow flicks my whiskers.

Anyone who has perused the Reaper Color & Icon forum for any length of time understands that good theme design is challenging and time consuming.

I didn't creat a whole theme but changed a lot of items, like MSR buttons, FX Rack, Pro Channel pre / post, etc. to make them more distinguishable for me and easier to catch the different states of a button at a glance.

Here is an example of what works really well for me:

Hey Klaus, that's really nice! Um... any chance of sharing your theme so that others may enjoy?

I typically stick with my own Green Glow theme.  I made it originally because I didn't think Tungsten was dark enough and I really like the contrast of the Lime green.  For me, personally, it looks electronic based which helps get me inspired for making music, which I pretty much exclusively make electronic music.

However when I'm working on a new theme I do switch it up until I'm done with the new theme.

Here's a preview of the next one I'm working on

I've been digging your Green Glow theme also. Thanks for sharing!

I am just using the tungsten theme. I have not downloaded the theme editor and I am not likely too. I have not looked into any of the user created themes.

Custom theme here - based on the Dark Theme, but more dark purple.
It's unfinished because when creating 3D buttons, some come out sketchy - which means needing multiple layers in PS to get them to look right. Trial and error for a rainy day project.

...and some of the areas are non-customizable, so there some off patches of color that don't match the theme.

I built may themes, never use them... I work faster if my tracks can be categorized with color. Running around 30 tracks for a mix right now with narrow strips, it's just to puttzy to read each track. I have to use Mercury. I would prefer a dark Mercury theme…

Sure!

The reason why I didn't share it before, is - well, it's not a complete "Theme" like those contributed by other forum members.

But if someone wants to use elements from my "theme" - feel free, I'm glad to share!
